Banca de Alimente Moldova with the support of the European Union launched the online platform Donezalimente.md. The platform presents an innovative digital project that will facilitate the logistical process of food recovery from Food Business Operators in the agri-food chain and redistribution to social canteen services and other social services where food is provided.
The Donezalimente.md Platform was developed within the project “Partnerships for Inclusive and Sustainable Social Canteen Services,” funded by the European Union, co-financed and implemented by I.P. “Keystone Moldova,” A.O. “Concordia. Social Projects,” and I.R.M.S. “Diaconia.” The project aims to contribute to the development of social canteen services in the country and improve the food recovery mechanism. In this context, the support provided for the development of the Food Bank focuses on increasing the capacity to collect surplus products from the agri-food chain to redirect them to social services.
