After the big floods in the east of Belgium, many organisations are trying to bring the necessary help to people in the affected areas. Among them, the Food Banks of the Belgian Federation of Food Banks are at the forefront to provide food aid and several solidarity initiatives have emerged to help them.
The big retailer Colruyt is organising large and structural transports of parcels to the affected areas, in collaboration with the local Food Banks and organisations active on the spot.
Fevia, the Federation of the Belgian food industry, continues to inform and support its affected food companies. In addition, as a sector, the Federation is joining forces to make food donations, especially in collaboration with the Food Banks.
