Texas Instruments (TI), the American global semiconductor design & manufacturing company, has supported the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) for several years, highlighting its real and concrete interest in helping people in need and in reducing food waste. Thanks to its strategic and genuine CSR Management, TI has been able to engage employees in fundraising activities, achieving an important result and raising awareness on solidarity. All pursued having fun and getting active: sports activity for a good cause!
Texas Instruments challenged its employees to the Spring Challenge this year: from 27 March to 11 April, employees worked hard to raise money for charity. Through activities such as jogging, hiking, cycling, virtual yoga or home workout, the employees accomplished 20,500 kilometres and 500 hours for a total donation of €10.000.
Part of the donation will be awarded to FEBA.
“Working out for a good cause is a popular tradition for our employees. Unfortunately, many sports activities cannot be carried out together this year. But that doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t join forces anyway to work out hard for a charitable cause. Thanks to the strong participation, we were able to achieve an amazing sum together as a team.” said Andreas Schwaiger, Managing Director at Texas Instruments Germany.
It is extremely meaningful to spotlight this creative fundraising activity, able to combine solidarity purposes with engaging sports activities. Texas Instruments is a remarkable example of how partnerships between corporate companies and non-profit organizations can be successful and mutually beneficial.
As FEBA, we really want to thank Texas Instruments for its trust and for its considerable donation, which is extremely helpful in the present situation.
“The pandemic is increasing the number of people who need help: we record a 34.7% increase of people in need in Europe. That’s why we’re very excited about long-term partnerships such as the one with Texas Instruments. Texas instruments’ Spring Challenge has brought together a considerable amount of money. We would like to thank you very much for this! It’s great how motivated the company is to support a good cause.“, said Angela Frigo, Secretary General at FEBA.
