Can you be middle class and on the breadline? Due to the pandemic, a lot of persons who had a good financial situation now have to ask for help. Lost jobs, lack of food, nowhere to live any longer. For all of these reasons, organizations providing food aid like the Food Banks now have to help more and more people.
Jacques Vandenschrik, President of the European Food Banks Federation, participated in the discussion program “Roundtable” from TRT World news channel. He talked about the increase in food demand in Europe and the new beneficiaries that due to the pandemic are turning to charities to which the Food Banks are redistributing food.
