On 29 September, Food Bank Albania organized a coordinated action in 7 cities. Thanks to the help of about 200 volunteers, they distributed 20,000 dedicated flyers for the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste.
Food Bank Albania was also aired on two TV stations on 29 September, one of them being one of the most followed programme in the country.
Food Bank Albania celebrated its 7th birthday on 1 October 2020. During these past months, the organization has grown by adding three staff people to the team: a manager for the Central Food Bank who will lead the operations in the capital area, a dedicated finance officer and a logistics assistant to face the growing evolution of the activities. The team is now stronger and ready to keep helping more and more people in need in Albania.
