European Food Banks: concrete answers for the people, for the planet
29 September 2020 will be the first ever observance of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste.
In this context, the European Food Banks Federation, together with its membership, will contribute to this call to action by organizing “Food no waste”, a virtual event on 29 September 2020.
The main aim of the event is to involve European Food Banks but also to invite public institutions, private actors (profit and non-profit), and citizens.
Thanks to their expertise and experience European Food Banks can give a strong and impactful contribution to the prevention of food losses and waste, scaling-up innovation, technologies and infrastructure which are fundamental to increase the efficiency of the food systems both at European and global.
