Samedi du Partage, the traditional solidarity collection, was held on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November in 90 shops and supermarkets in the Swiss canton.
Once again, the population showed a spirit of solidarity: the operation collected more than 193 tonnes of foodstuffs and hygiene products for people in need.
The Samedi du Partage association is very pleased with this positive result, representing an increase of 24% compared to the June edition, despite a tense economic context – impacts of crises where many families struggle to make ends meet, not to mention the difficulties in supplying Food Banks and food aid associations.
The organisers would like to thank all the donors who participated in Samedi du Partage for their gestures of solidarity!
Moreover, the organisers would particularly like to thank all the volunteers (associations, companies, individuals, service clubs, students) for their commitment to this solidarity action: 1,040 people gave their time throughout these two days. Thank you and a big bravo!
A thanks also go to the brands and their employees, who took care of the logistics of the operation and welcomed the teams.
The next edition of Sharing Saturday will take place on 2 and 3 June 2023.
