FEAD, REACT-EU, ESF+ and the European Food Banks Federation – 2022 Implementation Report

Impact

This report focuses on the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) and the Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and the Territories of Europe (REACT-EU) according to the activity of the members of the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA). It aims to provide a summary of the final implementations of these funds in 2022, as well as an outlook into the planned transition to and execution of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).

Through their daily activities, FEBA Members who have benefited from the FEAD and/or REACT-EU have played a key role in achieving the objectives of these funds, specifically supporting the most deprived, and will continue this path under the ESF+. For this reason, FEBA drafted and circulated a tailored survey in September 2023 to gather information about their experiences. FEBA Members have provided qualitative and quantitative data to feed this report.

The report refers to the period from January to December 2022 and is based on the responses of 10 FEBA Members.
