In the live broadcast of the Maisto Bankas support concert ‘PasiDalink’ to combat food waste and poverty, a record-breaking amount of over EUR 207,000 was raised.
A multitude of music stage stars gathered to support one of the largest and most well-known organisations in Lithuania. In the live broadcast lasting three and a half hours, the hosts of the evening, Indrė Kavaliauskaitė and Rolandas Vilkončius, tirelessly encouraged viewers to continue calling short numbers and donate. Keeping a smile but also prompting serious reflection on food waste, beloved actor Giedrius Savickas and interviewed shoppers from stores encouraged everyone to donate.
Not only did the hearts of the ‘Maisto bankas’ volunteers gathered in the arena, but also the hearts of LNK television viewers. One of the highlights of the evening was the reveal of the Apple Mask, symbol of Maisto Bankas from the musical project ‘Mask’.
The charity concert ‘PasiDalink’ is inseparable from heart-touching stories of people under the care of ‘Maisto bankas’ who have dared to open up about their lives. These stories include children dreaming of a feast for Christmas, parents dedicating their entire lives to foster and care for children with disabilities whom they cannot release into the world, individuals who have experienced misfortunes and illnesses, and even seniors who have greatly deserved a peaceful retirement in Lithuania’s past.
This was already the 12th concert by LNK TV and Maisto bankas. The short numbers 1343 (donation of 5 EUR) and 1413 (donation of 10 EUR) will be active until the end of this year.
