Senior Network Development Advisor of FEBA, Balazs Cseh visited the FEBA Member in Slovenia. SIBAHE has been operating in the country since 2012. The Food Bank’s central warehouse is in Polzela, and they also operate three branches in Lendava, Trbovlje, and Store. SIBAHE regularly receive donations from 40 food companies, in total 720 tonnes in total last year, which they distribute to 8,500 people in need with the help of 60 charities. The Food Bank is supported by around 50 permanent volunteers and more than 100 occasional volunteers. The team has also played an active role in helping the victims of the 2023 floods in Slovenia. During the visit, we reviewed the current situation of the Food Bank and the directions for future developments.
