On 29 June 2023, FEBA attended the European Consumer Food Waste Forum. For the last two years, this group of 15 experts from various countries and backgrounds studied the most effective ways to fight food waste. This event was an opportunity to launch their final document: a compendium summarising best practices and tools found across Member States. In their report, the authors stress the importance of adapting food waste prevention measures to the local cultural context. They also emphasise the need for complementary actions, such as awareness-raising campaigns and providing families with tips and tricks to limit waste.
For now, only the executive summary is available but the full report should be published soon.
