The Civil Society Days 2023 were organised by the European Economic and Social Council, and took place from 1 March until 3 March 2023 with the overarching topic being “Civil society organisations: a pillar of democracy and a key player to overcome current challenges”. FEBA participated in two workshops; one related to funding of civil society and the other one focusing on volunteers and resilience. Both workshops offered valuable insights into possible funding opportunities of cross- border activities of CSOs as well as the need for more structured funding for CSOs. When it comes to Volunteering the discussions evolved around the support for a European Year of Volunteers in 2025 and the important role volunteers have for society, which should be strengthened.
