On behalf of the Polish Federation of Food Banks, President Beata Ciepła participated in the press conference of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development which has prepared an amendment to the Act on Food Waste, which has been in force since 2019. This is a key law for all organisations providing food assistance in Poland. She stressed that the amendment to the Act is extremely important for Food Banks – the main implementing body of the provisions of the Act on Counteracting Food Waste. Thanks to the change in regulations, it will be possible to protect food from waste more effectively, on the one hand, and on the other hand, to manage and use it to help for the most deprived.
