FEBA participated in the Social Innovation Forum 2024 as an active member of the CoP on Material Support

The Social Innovation Forum 2024, held on October 1-2 in Brussels, brought together experts, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how social innovation can address some of Europe’s most pressing societal challenges. Organized by the European Competence Centre for Social Innovation, the forum focused on several key objectives:
  1. Highlighting Essential Skills: The forum emphasized the critical skills needed for social innovators to thrive in today’s complex landscape, ensuring they are equipped to drive impactful change.
  2. Showcasing Innovative Solutions: Participants had the opportunity to learn from exemplary practices across Europe, with showcases of innovative solutions that effectively tackle various social issues.
  3. Facilitating Collaboration: The event fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing among ESF+ Managing Authorities, implementing partners, and the broader social innovation community, paving the way for stronger partnerships and collective action.
Together with Food Bank colleagues from Italy, Spain, and Ireland, FEBA’s Network Development Coordinator, Anna Friederitz, attended the workshop of the CoP on Material Support focusing on the crucial role of digital skills, identifying challenges and developing practical strategies to enhance them.
Eager to learn about impact evaluation tools, ethical concerns, data protection, data quality, and other barriers, she further joined the working session Finding Out What Really Works in Social Innovation: Why We Need Impact Evaluation and How to Get Reliable Evidence?.
