Banca pentru Alimente București has been an Associate Member of the European Food Banks Federation from 2019. Since then, FEBA has supported and followed the development of the organisation as well as the establishment of 8 Food Banks across the country in the cities of Brasov, Cluj, Constanta, Craiova, Galati, Oradea, Roman, and Timisoara. In 2021 a national federation, the Federația Băncilor pentru Alimente din România (FBAR) was created.
Considering the critical times that we are living, the Board of Directors of the European Food Banks Federation decided to move the membership from Banca pentru Alimente București to the FBAR to be able to provide more support to the Romanian Food Banks during the crisis.
