FEBA grants the status of Associate Member to Banca de Alimente in Moldova
Considering the critical times that we are living, the FEBA Board of Directors of the European Food Banks Federation has decided to grant the temporary status of Associate Member to Banca de Alimente in Moldova with a view to provide the organisation with support during the crisis.
Granting the status of Associate Member will allow FEBA to assist to Banca de Alimente Moldova by answering their immediate and concrete needs.
Banca de Alimente is the only organisation dealing with the recovery and redistribution of surplus food to charitable organisations assisting people in need in Moldova. Following the example of many FEBA Members, for the last 10 years Banca de Alimente has also organised the largest national campaign for the collection of non-perishable products in retailers, engaging many citizens to donate to the most deprived.
FEBA Secretary General visited Banca de Alimente in October 2021.
