On 17 December 2020, the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) organised its Annual Forum on Food Aid and Social Inclusion with the title “European Food Banks Federation: competences
and creativity to feed the future”. Almost all FEBA members experienced an increase of demand for food of about 30% in 2020, while at the same time facing a loss of volunteers, drops in financial resources and the need to reorganize their operations quickly to everchanging circumstances. The Annual Forum was a possibility for FEBA members and stakeholders to come together, discuss and take stock of the current situation, as well as shining a light on future trends, especially in relation to what is needed at EU level.
