Europe Day held on 9 May was the occasion to celebrate the citizens across the continent doing their part in the fight against coronavirus: from healthcare professionals to farmers, lorry drivers and supermarket workers, not to mention the millions of Europeans who are simply staying at home and respecting social distancing measures to keep us all safe.
The European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) was selected as one of the 16 stories of great EU solidarity in the face of this threat for the Europe Day online campaign promoted by the European Commission and the European Parliament. Thanks to the EU support, FEBA has launched a COVID-19 Social Emergency Fund, in order to raise funds to help Food Banks in Europe facing the social corona crisis.
