On April 9th, the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks participated in the Good Deeds Day, a global day that unites people from 108 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet.
Good Deeds Day is an annual tradition of good deeds. All over the world, hundreds of thousands chose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.
Through their activities of fighting food waste and promoting volunteer work the Portuguese Food Banks intend to inspire people on how they can do good in their daily lives, believing that goodness will grow in the world.
